Cowgirl Party

Yeehaw……..a little cowgirl turns two!!

I created this cowgirl theme for my little girls second birthday as I just love everything cowgirl!!! (or cowboy). Such a great theme to work with and is especially great for older tots when introducing pony rides to the party!  What fun!!!

Many horsey rural adventures were had in creating this party.  The cowgirl decorations were mostly found on a local Whittlesea farm.  We were fortunate enough to have an authentic cowgirl saddle loaned to us for the party which little ones loved taking turns riding on!!!

Cowgirl Birthday Party Dessert Table

The main colours chosen for this party were maroon, violet and gold.    I knew from the onset that I wanted a barn door as the dessert table top and a rope sign for the backdrop.  The barn door was much harder to source than I had expected, however I finally found what I was looking for on a beautiful Whittlesea farm!!!  It was here that most of my gorgeous decorations were found.

Next the rope sign was to be made.  This was far easier than sourcing the barn door!  It came together so nicely, really is not difficult to make at all and looks great.

cowgirl_partyThe table came together nicely with the help from the talented Sue at Badger Creek Cookies & Cakes who made our stunning cowgirl cake topper and cookies.  Gorgeous little “thank y’all” cookies were packaged for all the guests to take home with them.    I made the marble birthday cake with ruffles to add a bit of a feminine touch to the cowgirl party and a smaller marble cake was made for a little guest that is lactose intolerant.  The two cakes complimented one another so nicely and were super easy to make!

Additional items on the table were home-made blondie and brownie slice and delicious rocky road from the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery.

I loved my outdoor farm adventures in bringing this cowgirl party to light!  You really can have so much fun with a cowgirl or cowboy theme….. especially for older tots when introducing pony rides to the party.  If you love this theme or any ideas from the party feel free to contact me to assist you with your little one’s party!
